If you already installed bitdefender latest version, you need not to install / uninstall anything. Just follow below instructions to get it activated.
1. Turn on your pc and open Bitdefender interface by double clicking the bitdefender icon located in your task bar.
2. Click on the “Account Info” tab, which is located on the left sidebar of the Bitdefender interface. The icon will look like a human.
3. Click the “SWITCH ACCOUNT” button to change the account linked to the computer.
4. Type the e-mail address and the password of your account in the corresponding fields, and then click “SIGN IN”.
NOTE: The Bitdefender product installed in your device automatically changes according to the subscription associated to the new Bitdefender account.
How to install Bitdefender latest version?
You can install all Bitdefender 2019 products by following below instructions. Once the installation process is complete, your product will be activated automatically.
1. Open your browser, go to central.bitdefender.com and login using the credentials.
2. Go to the “MY DEVICES” window. In My Devices, click “INSTALL PROTECTION” and then "PROTECT THIS DEVICE" to Install Bitdefender on the computer you're using.
NOTE: You can install it on another device by selecting “PROTECT OTHER DEVICE” option. Then type an e-mail address in the field to receive download link and click “SEND”. You will receive an email with download link shortly.
3. Wait until the download is finished, and then run the installer. You will see a download window and then you will see the main install window.
4. There you can choose your Bitdefender language before proceeding with the installation.
NOTE: If any active malware was detected, it will be removed during the installation and a system reboot may be required.
5. Click “START USING” Bitdefender to continue after the installation. In the Subscription plan window you can see details about your active subscription.
6. Click “FINISH” to access the Bitdefender 2019 interface.
I am getting an error saying “Your browser is not supported”. How to resolve this?
There are two solutions for this.
1. You have to update your Microsoft Internet Explorer.
2. Download Bitdefender online installer from your Bitdefender account, which has active subscription and run it. It will look for latest Bitdefender in your machine and activate it automatically. You all have to do is, be relaxed until it configures your Bitdefender.
1. Go to central.bitdefender.com and login using the credentials I provided.
2. On the right-top portion, you can see an icon look like a human. Hover over the icon to get a drop-down menu and choose “MY ACCOUNT”.
3. Now you can see a button named “CHANGE EMAIL”. Click on that button to go forward.
4. You can find a pop-up and have to provide the new email address in 1st & 2nd box and the current password in the 3rd box. Now hit the “SAVE” button. The email address would be changed instantly and you can use the new email address for logging in.
Why Bitdefender doesn’t accept my password?
Your password must comply with following criteria:
Must include lower and upper case characters.
Must contain at least one number or symbol.
Must be at least 8 characters long.
How to remove my email address from bitdefender database?
Login to your bitdefender account and go to “MY ACCOUNT”. Now change your email address to something else. Congrats! The email address you previously used is removed from Bitdefender database.
NOTE: Now you can use the email address to create new Bitdefender account or you can change existing Bitdefender account email address using this one.
Bitdefender has merged every program in to single installer called offline kit. Bitdefender program changes its name and features according to the subscription active in your Bitdefender account.
Downloading Setup Files
First of all, you need to download two different files to install Bitdefender.
1. Download Bitdefender Agent from below link.
2. Download Bitdefender 2018 Installer according to your PC configuration.
1. Disconnect Internet Connection and run the Bitdefender Agent downloaded in step 2. If it shows any error regarding internet connectivity, ignore the error and close it.
NOTE: If you did not disconnect, it will start to download Bitdefender setup again, which is downloaded already. To avoid this issue, you must disconnect internet.
2. Now run the Setup file downloaded in step 3, which is around 370MB and follow the on screen instructions. After successfully installed, it will prompt to create central account. Create an account or use existing account to activate your bitdefender. Kindly make sure that there is atleast an active subscription in the central account.
3. That’s all. Now right click on Bitdefender icon in System tray and select “Update now.” Congrats.. You have Successfully Installed Bitdefender 2018 and Activated it..
